Her volunteer work includes involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, both as a fundraiser and “wish granter”, serving the needs of critically ill children. She also supports vulnerable communities in her service as Board of Director President for Rerun Medical Equipment, a nonprofit focused on providing medical equipment to those in need.

Shannon earned bachelor degrees in Political Science and Criminology from Northeastern Oklahoma State University. After an elective course sparked an interest in the discipline during her senior year of college, she completed a master’s degree in human resources at Southern Nazarene University. Her passion for quality and process improvement methodology led her to Villanova University, where she earned her Six Sigma Lean and Green belt certifications.

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and traveling to New York to take in Broadway theater and visit her daughter.
