Brent Hampton
Brent Hampton joined Global in October 2008 as General Counsel. Brent supports Global’s mission by guiding the business through the financial services regulatory environment. As general counsel for Global Holdings, his duties include addressing all legal and regulatory decisions involving the company, its officers, and employees. Brent is responsible for managing the litigation, licensing, and regulatory inquiries from various state and federal agencies.
A seasoned Corporate Counsel, Brent has over 20 years of experience providing legal guidance to regulated businesses. He started his career in the rapidly evolving telecom industry, which honed his appreciation for navigating the regulatory landscape.
Prior to joining Global, Brent served as Corporate Counsel within Verizon’s wholesale division where he provided transactional support for contract negotiations and oversight for regulatory compliance and marketing. Brent also addressed compliance matters with state commissions.
Brent has a business degree from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from the University of Tulsa. Brent proudly served four years working for the military intelligence branch of the United States Army and completed a deployment to Bosnia with a mission of international peacekeeping. When not working, Brent can be found at the lake with his family and friends, boating, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
